We began selling tested parts at a discount, or wholesale
scooter parts, to valued customers who are primarily repairing
customer scooters. Testing each part is necessary to insure parts work properly, saving the need for time and money wasting returns. With our quality tested parts repair shops were quickly able to
repair their own customers scooters, receiving the parts in a few
days at a decent price. Our prices are lower for
tested parts and scooters, and we may still be the only ones testing what we sell, including the tires and tubes sold on this page from our warehouse.
HELP IN MAKING A SELECTION:
To find the size of your tire look on the side. All pneumatic tires are printed with the entire tire Diameter and Width information in either standard or metric size. We list our tires from the smaller diameter and rim size at the top of this page and becoming larger as you scroll down the page. Many scooters have a wheel rim diameter of 4 inches and it may not be reflected in the size. If your tire says it is 200 X 50 in metric size then this is the same as an 8" diameter by 2" width tire (25mm = 1 inch) with a 4 inch diameter hole for the rim. The inner tube is also the same size. In some cases a tire might be listed for example as a 10 inch diameter, 2.80-4 or 2.50-4 width, or 2.80/2.50-4 - width of the tire and a 4 inch diameter rim hole (meaning the rim can accept widths of either 2.8 or 2.5 inches), or the tire or tube will only show the 2.80-4 or 2.50-4 on the side of the tire and not the outside diameter of the tire or tube. If these sizes further state it is a 9 or 10 inch tire or tube then this is the outside diameter of the tire or tube, usually rounded off to the nearest inch. The width in inches is the 2.50 or 2.80, and the 4 is the diameter of the hole for the rim. On the other hand a 3.00-9 Tire size indicates the width is 3 inches with a rim size of 9 in diameter. A 3.00-10 Tire indicates a width of 3 inches with a rim size of 10 in diameter. The tire outside diameter is not given! The rim size is the size of the hole in the center of the tire at 9 or 10 inches rounded off. In some cases we list the actual physical sizes for the tire, tube, or wheels in the descriptions for your information and comparison, too. With this comparative information you should not make a mistake in ordering the correct size. Some tires are listed with the Scooter brand or make and model to also help your research. TIP FOR CHANGING A TUBE
A few customers have pinched the innertube in between the tire rim when replacing a bad tube, causing a hole or rip in the tube. This happens when you do not partially inflate the tube to get it out of the way of the two rim halves as you put it together. Just add a little pressure so the tube fills out and gets out of the way of the rim. Tighten the tire rim screws or bolts securely and THEN finish adding the correct tire pressure! Saves a big problem caused by the rim tightening on the uninflated tube! And in standard larger rims it also helps prevent problems by adding some pressure as you pull the final bead of the tire onto the rim using plier handles or spreading tools.
